Die auf Fälze gezogenen Steingravuren zeigen sowohl dekorative Außenabbildungen als auch zahlreiche technische Einzelheiten in Schnitten mit Auf- und Abrissen. Es werden die gängigsten internationalen Typen behandelt. Den Beschreibungen im Text ist eine Geschichte des Eisenbahnwesens vorangestellt.– Insgesamt gut erhaltenes Exemplar. Einbände restauriert, Vorsätze erneuert. Tafeln im Rand und tls. im Falz gebräunt, vereinzelt minimal fleckig. Drei Tafeln in der Bindung lose.– Metzeltin 726.
